Exhaust gas turbocharger has outer contour of compressor wheel blade (19), which is formed in such a manner that blade measure e.g. trim, lies in the range of 85 to 115 percentage, whereby outer diameters of inlet and discharge of compressor wheel blade in areas of inflow side (25) and outflow side (26) are denoted by d1t and d2 respectively. Trim is calculated by the relationship i.e. the percentage of the square of the ratio between d1t and d2 whereby outer diameters of inlet and discharge of compressor wheel blade, in areas of inflow side and outflow side, are denoted by d1t and d2 respectively.
