The method involves detecting virtual reflection points (Rv) by looped around radar radiations, where the reflection points are included in the computation for detection of the traffic condition. A roadway run is detected by virtual and real reflection points detected by a radar device (2) and by a distance between the radar device and a roadway boundary, on elevation of the radar device. An independent claim is also included for a radar device for execution of a method of detecting a traffic condition.
