The method and technique is for the development, installation and new construction of irrigation channels and river courses to protect against harmful influences, whereby natural or made up irrigation channels (1) and river courses are roofed over by an aquaculture house (10) in which stand racks (14) in which are fitted troughs (5) to hold water creatures and plants on bar gratings (13). The house can be supported on an old channel wall or on new pylons of concrete, steel, or suchlike.
