The method involves receiving signal sizes of an output voltage of a capacitive length or angle measurement system. The system has a capacitively operating sensor, which provides the voltage as measure for a measured length and/or angle. The signal sizes are gained with predefined load distribution at condenser units of the system. An error compensation measured value at an output of the system is calculated based on the sizes. An independent claim is also included for a capacitive length or angle measurement system with a capacitively operating sensor.
