The method involves detecting and storing detected image data, which corresponds to a three-dimensional probe area. A data compression is effected by considering the image data lying adjacent and above the probe during the compression. An image stack is recorded and adjacent images of the image stack are consulted for the data compression. Temporally and spectrally detected and stored data are consulted for the data compression. An independent claim is also included for a utilization of arrangement and/or method for analysis of development processes e.g. dynamic processes.
