Combination replaces parts of the background with foreground information. To do this, data from foreground and the background are adjusted before and/or after combination. Video parameters affected, include color, brightness, pre-emphasis and sharpness. Processing takes place on a graphics card. Data from the graphics card are displayed as numerical values and/or graphics, on the user display associated with the graphics card. An independent claim is included for corresponding equipment combining foreground and background information.
