The method involves automatically maneuvering a motor vehicle in a forward motion into a parking spot, by a remote control (22), where a driver and front passenger have limited spaces at their sides, after a driver had got down from the vehicle. Unparking action is also activated by the remote control. Sensors and actuators are used in the area of the vehicle brake, control unit and gears for regulating the parking procedure.
