Checking method for a piece of luggage compares a first X-ray image taken in a first luggage checking unit with a second image taken by a second unit regarding relative luggage positions
Relative positions of a piece of luggage are determined in relation to each other in first (2) and second (5) X-ray images. Data from two different baggage-checking units is passed to a stereoscopic image-processing device so as to reconstruct the piece of luggage by means of the geometry of both baggage-checking units. This data is passed to an output device or for further processing.
