Travel support method, aimed at a road user, provides alternative concrete travel suggestions and or suggest breaks if a first selected journey or desired destination cannot be reached in a reasonable time frame
Method for supporting a traveler, especially in connection with traffic obstructions, using a dynamic navigation system that takes into account such obstructions. If the traffic situation worsens, the method determines if the journey is still worthwhile or possible and if so determines if other decisions are necessary. Other routes and traffic modes are also considered in making decisions, including possibly making journey breaks. Concrete alternatives are then presented. An independent claim is made for a system for supporting a traveler.
