The invention relates to a system and a process for a capacity enlargement of an audit archive (S), which is set up for the storage of auditable events (12). The auditable events (12) are fed into a selection module (10), which runs a filter mechanism (F) and additionally filters auditable events (12) out of the bulk of selectable auditable events (14). Only the selected auditable events (14), selected by the selection module (10), are forwarded to the audit archive for storage, which results in an overall improvement of the available storage space.
