Safety deposit system with high security requirements for issuing and returning objects under controlled access has a casing with unlockable boxes fixed as a matrix, a PC, an ID device and a central controller.
An ID carrier (12) containing an ID chip is assigned to an object (2,2') like a key waiting to be deposited by using a non-detachable connector element (10). A reader device (14) is assigned to each one of a series of boxes (4) for accepting the ID carrier with the ID chip. Also assigned to each box is a memory device for storing a code number for the ID chip. The reader and memory devices connect to a central controller.
