Method for incorporating and tensioning a pulling element of an external tension element from a bundle of plastic encapsulated individual elements (2) made of steel wires comprises anchoring the elements in an anchoring plate supported on the building construction and exposing the elements in the region of the anchoring. The plastic casing (4) of the elements is prevented from moving in the longitudinal direction during anchoring using a shoulder which surrounds the element in the anchoring region. An Independent claim is also included for an anchoring device used in the above method.
