The present invention relates to a quantitative method for the methane producing bacteria (methanogen), more specifically to real-time polymerase would use the chain reaction on the selective quantitative method for each group of methanogens in an anaerobic digestion process . Presented in the present invention , real-time polymerase chain reaction using specific primers and probe set for each group of the methane producing bacteria is so enables the selective determination of methanogens , the design of efficient anaerobic digestion process by analyzing the community structure of the methanogens , can be useful in the operation and diagnosis .
