PURPOSE: A hard-faced layer and a welding wire are provided to prevent a harmful chrome vapor and to improve an abrasion resistance of the hard-faced layer by using a wasted hard metal as a metal flux of the welding wire. CONSTITUTION: A tungsten carbide based hard metal powder(20) is prepared by using a tungsten carbide based hard metal (10). The tungsten carbide based hard metal (10) includes Co, C, and Nb. A mixed powder(30) including Fe-Mo powder and Fe-Si powder is dropped into a Fe strip(40) while drawing the Fe strip(40) such that the Fe strip(40) forms a wire in the form of a tube shape, thereby forming a welding wire. A hard-faced layer is formed by performing hard-facing welding with respect to a surface of a base metal while melting the welding wire.
