The method involves obtaining a decision model by defining a use mode for attributes. The model belongs to supervised decision models with a target attribute, one attribute of which is marked target and taboo, to models with multiple target attributes, at least two attributes of which are marked target and taboo, and to non supervised decision models where all attributes are marked target and at least one attribute is not marked taboo. The attributes that are not marked target are not marked taboo in both the supervised decision models with a target attribute and with multiple target attributes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product comprising program code instructions for the execution of steps of a classification tree generating method (2) a storage medium readable by a computer, storing a set of instructions executable by the computer for implementing the classification tree generating method (3) a classification tree generating device.
