A rolling piston for replacing the sliding friction between the piston and the cylinder with the rolling friction comprises a piston body and a plurality of rolling elements disposed around the piston body, a connecting device is provided between the piston body and the rolling elements. In the prior art of the internal combustion engines, the piston rings contact with the cylinder walls, the sliding friction is present therebetween during the piston’s reciprocating, therefore power is consumed, efficiency is decreased, and wear is incident, so that the faults of scuffing of cylinder bore and the like often occur. Overcoming these shortcomings, the present invention replaces the sliding friction between the piston and the cylinder with the rolling friction, which results in less friction force and less power consume.
