A receiver (3) which is a constituent element of an introduction-into-subject system comprises separately and independently a receiving unit (6) composed of receiving antennas (8a to 8d) and a reception processing device (9) and a position detecting unit (7) composed of transmitting antennas (10a to 10d), a first linear magnetic field producing section (11a), a second linear magnetic field producing section (11b), a diffusing magnetic field producing section (12), and a processing device (13). Therefore, when the introduction-into-subject system is used to acquire information on the inside of the subject by means of a capsule endoscope (2) and to detect the position of the capsule endoscope (2), both the receiving unit (6) and the position detection unit (7) are used. When the system is used only to acquire information on the inside of the subject, only the receiving unit (6) can be used. As a result, an increase of the use cost is suppressed, and the physical burden on the subject when the system is used is limited to the lowest degree depending on the use purpose.
