RECOVERY OF PRECIOUS METALS FROM ELECTRONIC SCRAP BY HYDROMETALLURGICAL PROCESSING

摘要

The present invention deals with hydrometallurgical process for the extraction of non-ferrous precious metals originating from electronic waste, mineral earth, mineral materials. The process includes reacting the dust like fraction of crushed waste or mineral material with concentrated hydrohalogen acid containing a halogen salt of magnesium. The separated solid from filtering the reaction mixture is mixed with an aqueous solution containing a strong acid Mg2X and with a strong oxidizing agent. The separated solid from the second reaction mixture is treated with a HX solution and to the obtained solution, which includes all of the gold present in the initial dust, there is added an organic extracting agent in the form of (RO) 3PO. All of the gold and a minor amount of palladium is separated from the organic phase by precipitation through adjusting the pH to a range of about 2 to 4.
