A ruler guide strip, which forms side and longitudinal dovetail grooves for receiving and fitting complementary dovetails of an accessory, is hooked and bolted to the handle of a gun or rifle. The strip also forms cross sectional grooves selectively connecting the cross sectional axis of the threaded press knob of the accessory.
