Sequential ultrasound pulses are obtained at varying fixed points of an enclosure. The passage time between fixed emitters is determined as well as the instantaneous position of each mobile receiver carried by players to determine the distance of each receiver from the center based on the speed. Special localization of an ultrasound receiver equipment is enabled through trigonometric calculation. The system uses ultrasound for multi-positional detection of the players within the open or closed enclosure during a game. The system also records the positions of each player to study the consequences of different game plays.
