Described is a hardware device and software attached to parallel port of the computer, which provides an alternative to Braille language used by visually impaired persons. The hardware device is of the size of a standard mouse on whose top surface there are six holes that correspond to the position of six dots in any Braille character. Underneath six holes are six pins, which are aligned such that when rose they protrude from the six holes. These are activated by six electromagnets.
