In the present invention, there is disclosed a process for preserving a concrete pipe or a concrete roof tile, wherein the process comprises coating the surface of the respective mineral molded product with an aqueous mixture containing an aqueous polymer dispersion whose dispersed polymer P comprises at least one ethylenically unsaturated acid and/or its conjugate base polymerized there into in free-radically polymerized form, wherein the polymer P of the aqueous polymer dispersion comprises at least one monomer of the general formula I in which the symbols of the substituents have the following meaning: n is 0 to 2, Re1, Re2, Re3 represent independently on each other hydrogen or a methyl group, X denotes oxygen or an imino group (NH) and Y represents hydrogen, an alkali metal or ammonia, wherein the aqueous mixture is free of cement agent.
