System and process for facilitating the research of multi data stream synchronized databases. A media identifier 'operates in flows of media simultaneously to provide a large number of customers with identification in real time on the server of media objects embedded in a stream of mediaSuch as radio, television, or transmissions via the Internet. These media objects may include songs, commercials, jingles, station identifiers, etc.The identification of media objects is provided to customers, by comparison of the traces generated by the client.Computed by means of the samples of the media stream to a large database of scans stored, pre computed (i.e. 'fingerprints'), identifying known.Furthermore, given a finite number of flows of media and a much larger number of customers, many of the tracking server issued to have the possibility of being almost identical.Thus, a dynamic cache is used to limit the searchable scans the necessary consultations to databases in order to identify individual scans.The cache stores only one copy of the recent scans scans, together with the results of the research databases, whether positive or negative.Cache entries are then removed, as they get older.
