The system (1) has a smart card (3) with an application (30) and a terminal (2) with an application (22). The applications permit the system to execute a specific processing of the card by sending a request from the card to the terminal. The card adapts the application (30) based on the characteristics of the terminal and sends the parameters to the terminal to allow the card to decide on an abandonment or no abandonment of the execution of the request by the terminal if the terminal meets an anomaly of the request. An independent claim is also included for a communication method of a system for permitting communication between a smart card and a terminal.
