PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that there is no method for monitoring the change of a GP (glide path) approach course due to snowing other than a flying inspection.;SOLUTION: For a reflection surface of snow, a GP reflection surface of a step-like snow structure and a front terrain reflection surface are formed. An apparatus is provided with a step-like snow shape data generation part, a front terrain data generation part, a snow dielectric constant measuring device, a snow depth measuring device obtaining a snow depth at the time of a dielectric constant, a function of obtaining a ground reflection coefficient of the step-like snow structure from shape data, a representative dielectric constant and the snow depth, a function of obtaining an electric field strength at a reception point from the ground reflection coefficient, a function of obtaining diffracted waves from a front terrain and a function of obtaining a change of a path angle and a change of a path width from the respective electric field strengths of reflected waves, direct waves and the diffracted waves at the reception point and predicting the GP approach course. Thus, the GP approach course is predicted with the dielectric constant of the snow, the terrain of the GP reflection surface and the front terrain present in front of it as data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
