PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an alloy having excellent amorphous material formability which is fundamentally castable by a general mold casting method in the air by adding metal elements increasing amorphous material formability to a magnesium based amorphous material alloy consisting essentially of magnesium, and to provide a magnesium based amorphous alloy having excellent ductility by alloy designing capable of utilizing the fundamental characteristics of magnesium having excellent ductile properties.;SOLUTION: The magnesium based amorphous alloy having excellent amorphous material formability and ductility is expressed by the general formula of Mg100-x-yAxBy (x and y satisfy 2.5≤x≤30, 2.5≤y≤20 by atomic weight%, respectively; A is at least one kind selected from Cu, Ni, Zn, Al, Ag and Pd; and B denotes at least one kind selected from Gd, Y, Ca and Nd).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
