PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely diagnose a fluid state in the bottom of a blast furnace.;SOLUTION: This method comprises preparing a mutual recurrence plot with two variables, on the basis of time-series information on a heat flux which is provided from the time-series information on temperatures measured by a thermocouple 301 buried in the center of a batholith 303a of the bottom of the blast furnace, and the time-series information of the heat flux which is provided from the time-series information on the temperatures measured by a thermocouple 302 buried in the vicinity of a tap hole 252 in the bottom of the blast furnace, and diagnosing the fluidity state in the bottom of the blast furnace on the basis of the mutual recurrence plot. The method diagnoses whether a sound flow directing to the tap hole 252 from the center of the blast furnace bottom exists or the fluid stagnates in the center of the blast furnace bottom, according to whether a line segment parallel to a diagonal line exists or not, because a strong flow between the two detecting elements is expressed, if it exists, as the line segment parallel to the diagonal line on the mutual recurrence plot.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
