PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for judging relativeness between images of the page based on the analysis of a link and a page layout. PSOLUTION: A link analysis system identifies a block in a web page first, and analyzes a degree of importance of the block to the web page, a degree of importance of the web page to the block, and a degree of importance of images to the block, thereby judging the relativeness between images. Based on this analysis, the link analysis system judges a degree of relativeness of each image to another image. The link analysis system can generate ranking of images using the relativeness of the images if desired. The link analysis system can also generate a vector expression of the images based on the relativeness between the images, and, by applying a clustering algorithm to the vector expression, identify the cluster of the related image.
