PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy capable of providing a sliding component for an automobile or the like, in which film cracks are not generated, coating hardness and base metal hardness satisfy preferable values, and which can easily realize smooth surface roughness by a polishing stage, and has wear resistance to be required, to provide a bar-shaped material, to provide a forging-formed part, to provide a machining-formed part, to provide a wear resistant aluminum alloy having excellent anodized coating hardness using the same, to provide a sliding component, and to provide their production methods.;SOLUTION: Regarding the wear resistant aluminum alloy having excellent anodized coating hardness, eutectic Si grains are present at a width of 0.4 to 5.5 μm in an anodized coating, the content of Cu is ≤1.2 mass%, the thickness of the coating is ≥30 μm, and the hardness Hv of the coating is ≥400. Further, after anodization treatment, heat treatment is performed under the conditions where temperature (Tem) and time (Tim) satisfy 1.2≤((Tem[°C])3×(Tim[min]))/108≤9, thus the hardness of the coating is improved by ≥10%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
