PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of LU decomposition by parallel processing by using a band matrix stored in a compression mode to accelerate the calculation of linear simultaneous equations.;SOLUTION: This solution program causes a computer to execute: a procedure 1 for LU-decomposing a column block composed of a plurality of columns in parallel to store the result in a working area; a procedure 2 for canceling shuffling of rows on the left side of each column for the result of the procedure 1 and copying back it to an arrangement of the compression mode; a procedure 3 for evacuating a part that may be broken by update of a band matrix corresponding to the result of the procedure 1; a procedure 4 for updating the band matrix in parallel by using the result of the procedure 1; and a procedure 5 for restoring the part evacuated in the procedure 3 onto the result of the procedure 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
