PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medically effective clinically applicable means including a method for forecasting the sensitivity of an anticancer agent, a method for discriminating the presence or absence of a tumorous lesion, a method for evaluating the degree of progress of the tumorous lesion, a screening method for a compound effective for treating the cancer and a method for screening a gene associated with the sensitivity of the anticancer agent.;SOLUTION: The method for forecasting the sensitivity of the anticancer agent, the method for discriminating the presence or absence of the tumorous lesion and the method for evaluating the degree of progress of the tumorous lesion comprise a process of examining the expression of hRFI (human ring finger homologous to inhibitor of apotosis protein (IAP)), also the method for screening the compound effective for treating the cancer is provided by using a fact that the expression or activity of the hRFI is decreased in the case of effecting the tested compound, as one of the indices for discriminating the effectiveness. The method for screening the gene associated with the sensitivity of the anticancer agent comprises a process for examining a correlation between the gene whose expressed amount is changed in cells in which the expression of the hRFI elevates or decreases and the sensitivity of the anticancer agent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
