PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for cooking, heating, and thawing with thermal efficiency being higher than that of conventional heating without directly radiating microwave to food through the use of a microwave oven since it is highly possible that a food composition is chemically changed when the microwave is directly radiated to the food, and to change the taste of salt.;SOLUTION: A base material with high coercive force and Curie temperature are selected in manganese-zinc-ferrite for the inside of pottery. It is made into powder and applied on the whole inner surface of the pottery as a thin film. When 2.45 GHz of microwave is made to absorb, high heat generation is performed in a short time. In this case, the manganese-zinc-ferrite generates induction heating and dielectric heating, so as to generate an eddy current. When the base material with the high coercive force is selected, the absorption efficiency of the microwave in the microwave oven is further raised, so as to generate heat with high thermal efficiency. Energy for heat generation in the pottery is used for cooking, heating, and thawing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
