Set point value e.g. train speed, displaying method for railways, involves comparing sign calculated from point value of acquisition line with copy of point value of another line to signal display fault for controlling integrity of sign
The method involves calculating a sign from a set point value acquired from an acquisition line (ACV1). The calculated sign is stored in a video random access memory (MVD) and is displayed on a display device. The sign is then compared with a copy of the set point value acquired from another acquisition line (ACV2) to signal a fault of display in case of difference for controlling integrity of the displayed sign. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a device for displaying a sign representing a set point value on a display device (B) an utilization of a method and device for displaying a set point value e.g. speed of train, on a display device.
