The device has a conical insert (2), made of absorbing material such as sponge and foam (1), split vertically (3) along its length until its central axis (10) to permit the insertion of a fishing thread along the length of the device. The insert slides in one of multiple rings of a fishing rod. The insert has a diameter of 4 centimeter (cm) in its wider part and a height of 7 cm.
