Locating device for e.g. person in distress in water, has inflatable casing connected to harness fixed to person in distress, and connected to gas source that supplies gas under control of valve which controls inflation of casing
The device comprises of an inflatable casing (5) connected by an offset cable (4), to a harness (41) fixed to a person in distress. The casing is connected inside, by a gas conduit (3), to a gas source (1) arranged for supplying gas of density lower than the atmosphere, under the control of a valve (2) which controls the inflation of the casing.
