The process involves transforming laminar gas flow into turbulent flow to an output duct of a shot peening nozzle (1) and against walls of a cavity to be processed. A gas flow transporting metal grains is ejected from a duct of the nozzle for injecting into the cavity. The output duct of the nozzle has an appropriate length for modification of its inner section and has a cylindrical section (17) adjacent to a flattened section (18). An independent claim is also included for a device implementing a cavity inner wall shot peening process.
