The device has memory slots to store information related to light level and color for storing transparency and depth of a designed object. Each slot maintains information in the form of three intensities for each primary color of visible spectra such as red, green and blue. A device alternatively allocates variables related to light and color or the depth and transparency in a frame buffer based on a selection function. The slots are accessible by abscissa and ordinate of each position of a grid of a display device.
