Helicopter skeleton tail shake reducing method, involves determining angle variation of horizontal tail unit generating tail shake opposition force, from tail shake measurement, and applying variation to control system of angle of unit
The method involves measuring tail shakes created on the skeleton (17) of a helicopter (2), using three sensors (18-20) mounted at different locations on the skeleton. An angle variation of a horizontal tail unit (39) susceptible to generate tail shake opposition forces (TZ) is determined from the measurement. The angle variation is applied to a control system (10) of the angle of the horizontal tail unit, to eliminate the tail shakes. An independent claim is also included for a device for reducing the tail shakes created on the skeleton of the helicopter.
