New N-(phosphonomethyl-glycine) 1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylamine salt (Glyphosate triazolamine salt), useful as herbicide for combating weeds e.g. blite in a culture
N-(Phosphonomethyl-glycine) 1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylamine salt (Glyphosate triazolamine salt) (I) is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) A concentrate formula for ''in situ'' preparation of a phytotoxic formulation by dilution in water, where the composition is a liquid product, or a powdered or granulated product with active compound comprising the N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine 1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylamine salt (Glyphosate triazolamine salt) and at least one auxiliary (a) selected from diluents, extensors, carriers, conditioning agent, humidifying agent, and/or dispersing or emulsifying agent; (2) Preparation of liquid concentrate composition of (I) involving forming a suspension of acid glyphosate in water; and slowly adding triazolamine under constant stirring, and keeping the temperature to 15 - 40[deg]C; (3) Preparation of solid concentrate composition of (I) involving forming a mixture of acid glyphosate and triazolamine; (4) Preparation of ready-to-use formulation of (I) involving diluting in water the liquid or solid concentrate composition to reach the required active compound concentration. ACTIVITY : Herbicide. In a glass reactor, 95% acid glyphosate suspension (337 kg) in water (300 kg) was prepared. To aminate the suspended acid glyphosate, 95% technical triazolamine (up to 216 kg) was added under constant stirring. To the mixture, coconut amidopropyl oxide tensioactive (130 kg) and silicone emulsion (1 kg) were added. After work up, N-(phosphonomethyl-glycine)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylamine salt (Glyphosate triazolamine salt) (A) having 48% glyphosate triazolamine salt and a density of 1.215 - 1.225 g/cm3 was obtained. Salt (A) (3000 cm2/hectare) was tested for efficacy in controlling soy weed Amaranthus quitensis (Blite). The assessment was carried out visually by comparing with control non-applied parcels at 5, 10, 15 and 25 days after application date of (A) and the control. The results for (A)/control were: % control after 5 days = 95/-; after 10 days = 100/-; after 15 days = 100/-; and after 25 days = 100/- respectively. Thus the results showed that (A) exhibited remarkable phytotoxic activity rate as compared to the control. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
