The armrest (20) is arranged near and independent of a glassed surface (10) of a lateral unit (1) of a vehicle. The surface extends between a lower limit (11) and an upper limit (12). The lower limit is located below a lower boundary of the armrest, where the boundary and the lower limit define a lower glassed space (15). The glassed surface moves along a direction.
