Fuel injectors flow characteristic finding method for internal combustion engine, involves modifying gain/offset of linear zone or table/mathematical relation of non linear zone of flow characteristic, to compensate error
The method involves replacing a reference fuel injection by multiple injections that inject same quantity of fuel as that of the reference injection. An error of flow characteristic is deduced from a difference of the fuel quantities injected by two injections. Gain/offset of linear zone or a table/mathematical relation of non linear zone of the characteristic are modified to compensate the error.
