The method involves receiving a control command to perform one of the spatial interpolation interlaced-to-progressive conversion (IPC) technique and spatial/temporal interpolation IPC technique, on input interlaced scan data. Input interlaced scan data is converted into progressive scan data, based on the received command. An independent claim is also included for interlaced-to-progressive (IPC) scan data converter.
