An electric arc welding equipment according to the invention to produce a weld on a part to be welded (ps) essentially comprises an electrode (100), a source of electrical power supply (11) and an ignition circuit of an electric arc (15). The electrode (100) is designed to allow the welding and is carried by a torch (10). The ignition circuit of an electric arc (15) operates in a mode of oscillation arguments maintained, which enables the triggering of an electric arc between the electrode and the piece to be welded. In this mode of oscillation, the excitation is performed in a range of frequencies different from that of the oscillations which produces the triggering of the electric arc, a multiplication factor between the two frequency ranges.
