Ear defenders (10) comprise a dish-shaped housing (12) and a sealing padding (14) in the region of the opening edge of the housing. The sealing padding consists of a padding core and a padding sleeve (16) surrounding the padding core and provided with bending grooves (18). Preferred Features: The padding sleeve is made of an elastomer. The bending grooves are provided on the outer side of the padding sleeve.
