A theatre has a circular stage consisting of a series of concentric rings, each formed of a discrete semi-circle. Each semi-circle is linked to the stage frame by independently operated lifting/lowering jacks. The semicircular sections are lifted/lowered without interfering with the adjacent sections. Steps beneath provide access to any part of the stage.
