Apparatus for inserting row of plugs in non-set concrete, for motorway building, has retaining device for locking carrier frame to prevent it moving while plug insertion operation is being carried out
The apparatus includes a number of plug inserting devices, mounted on a carrier frame (40) so as to be vertically displaceable. The carrier frame is carried on a vehicle so as to be displaceable in a working direction (F). Conveying devices conveys plugs from plug magazines to the plug inserting devices. A retaining device (106) locks the carrier frame to prevent it moving in the working direction (F) relative to the concrete layer (16) while a plug insertion operation is being carried out. An independent claim is included for a further apparatus for providing a row of plugs in non-set concrete.
