An improved crash barrier for roadside protection has a cellular, e.g. honeycomb, internal crush structure mounted on support posts. The cellular structure provides a universal mounting on either side of the road and from different angles of impact. The barrier is assembled using screw fasteners, rivets or other suitable fittings.
