Device for testing coagulation and aggregation of blood, useful e.g. for in vitro measurement of bleeding time, allows a blood sample to contact an aggregation modifier in a pre- or post-diffusion chamber
Device for investigating the coagulation and/or aggregation characteristics of blood in which the blood flows through an opening (9), formed in a porous component (5), while a substance (X) that can modify aggregation is supplied. The new feature is that (9) is provided with a prediffusion space (3), from which blood passes to (9) and/or a postdiffusion space (4), through which blood flows from (9). (X) is provided as a coating (8) on the walls of (3) and/or (4). An independent claim is also included for a method of investigating the coagulation and/or aggregation characteristics of blood by using the new device in which coating (8) is applied in liquid form to the walls of (3) and/or (4), then dried, and (X) is reconstituted before taking a measurement.
