Hollow charge used in military and civil applications for penetrating targets made of concrete, steel or rock formations comprises a focusing nozzle fixed to a housing containing an explosive material in the region of an outlet opening
Hollow charge comprises a container-shaped housing (1) with an outlet opening (13). The housing contains an explosive material (2) with a conical recess that is covered by a covering (3). An ignition point (5) provided on the housing holds a fuse for igniting the explosive material. A focusing nozzle (11) is fixed to the housing in the region of the outlet opening. An independent claim is also included for a process for penetrating materials such as concrete, steel or rock formations.
