A method according to the invention for the removal and reducing of heavy metals from fly ashes of a combustion plant comprises the steps of: determining the drop in type and its manner of treatment in the case of a combustion plant and determination of the outlet (of the outlets) and quantities of the original flight ash (ofa) and reaction fly ash (xrfa) in the device of the combustion plant; sampling of ofa and xfa of the generation of positions and detection of the properties of ofa and xfa; calculation of heavy metals, which exceed the tclp - standard; determining an optimum mixture ratio of ofa and xfa for two independent outlets or the quantity of ofa or xrfa which, together with the convergence of ofa and xfa for an outlet is to be added; extraction of heavy metals from the mixed fly ash by means of a liquid for the removal of the heavy metals.
